PRT consists of five main components:
1. Psychoeducation about the brain and reversibility of pain and other chronic symptoms 2. Gathering and reinforcing personalized evidence for this symptom reversibility
3. Attending to and reappraising pain and/or other symptoms through a lens of safety
4. Addressing other emotional threats
5. Gravitating towards positive feelings and sensations
Certified in Pain Reprocessing Therapy and Positive Psychology.
Dani received her master’s degree in social work from Carroll College in May of 2024. She is currently a licensure candidate working under a clinical supervisor. As she was working to complete her master's degree, Dani worked with students at Carroll's Wellness Center. During this time, she also earned her certification in Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) from the Pain Psychology Center where PRT therapy was developed. Dani is also certified in Positive Psychology, which is simply the scientific study of what makes life most worth living. Dani is skilled at helping people identify their character strengths and teaching them how to implement those strengths in their daily lives.
Born and raised in Montana, Dani enjoys skiing, hiking, and nature photography.
